You are not required to do your tests at Test-it Lab. You can submit results from any laboratory, as long as they include the tests required for your follow-up stage.

After receiving the results, simply upload the documents in your Private Area so they can be assessed by the medical team.

Health insurance and reimbursement

The prices shown on this page are prices without health insurance.

If you wish to use health insurance, you must fill in your insurance details and policy number in your Private Area so the prescription can be issued with that information.

Frequently asked questions

Can I do the tests at another laboratory?

Yes. You can do the tests at any laboratory, as long as the results include the parameters required for your follow-up stage.

How do I send the results?

After receiving the results, you must upload the documents in your Private Area. The medical team will assess them before issuing or renewing the prescription.

Do I need to fast?

In many cases fasting is not required, but you should follow the laboratory's instructions when booking, especially if additional tests are included.

Can I use health insurance?

The prices shown are without insurance. Depending on your contract, you may request reimbursement from your insurer. To do so, you must fill in your insurance details in the Private Area.

What happens if a test result is abnormal?

The medical team will assess the result and indicate the next steps. In some cases, it may be necessary to repeat tests, perform additional examinations or postpone the prescription.

How long does it take to receive test results?

It depends on the laboratory where you do the tests. We recommend confirming directly with the laboratory at the time of collection. At Test It Lab, the usual turnaround time is around 5 working days.

Is a rapid HIV test sufficient?

No. To ensure your safety, and in line with current clinical recommendations, a 4th-generation HIV test is required. A rapid test does not replace this test in PrEP follow-up.
